Hi, my name is Rosalyn (Ros) Smith. I am the new children’s worker here at St Edward’s. I have been made to feel very welcome and I look forward to meeting more of you in due course. I am married and have two boys aged 11 & 12 who keep me busy.
I have always loved working with children. I have worked in Christian international schools in both the Philippines and Malaysia as a school librarian.
We moved to York two years ago and I have just completed my MA in Community Music at York University. Much of my research focussed on the importance of music in the early years and its role in bonding between carers/mums and their babies.
I hope to be able to use my music skills at Little Ted’s on Friday mornings and I will be helping Helen with youth group on Wednesday evenings and the primary Promise group on Sundays, sharing with and teaching children about Jesus’s love for them.
