Whilst the global pandemic has largely closed the churches, pastoral care is very much still functioning in different ways.
All of us have times in our lives when we need a bit of extra support and encouragement. Our Pastoral Care Team is here to provide help, friendship and support to anyone in the parish who needs it. Sometimes it may be for those for whom life may be getting harder due to age or infirmity, or it may be that someone is going through a really tough patch due to some major upheaval in their lives such as bereavement, illness, or losing their job. The Pastoral Care Team is there to help you to know that you are loved and supported as part of God’s family.
We can provide a listening ear, as well as practical support such as taking meals for families who have just had a baby, visiting people in hospital or visiting and praying with those who are physically unable to come to Church. We can also help to put people in touch with more specialist services to support them in their daily life.
If you, or someone that you know, would appreciate that bit of extra support, please contact the Clergy in the first instance, or look for the Pastoral Care Team posters around the Church.
